Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.
2. Our services
Ross + Doell Inc. ("Ross + Doell," "we," "us") provides product design services and manufacturing sourcing and coordination, connecting clients with manufacturing partners in Canada and internationally. Descriptions of our work on this site are for informational purposes and do not constitute a binding offer; the scope, cost, and terms of any engagement are set out separately in a signed proposal or agreement with the client.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, designs, drawings, prototypes, and other work product we create for a client remain the client's property once paid for in full, as further detailed in the applicable project agreement. Ross + Doell retains ownership of its own pre-existing tools, processes, and know-how, and of the content of this website — including text, images, and the "r+d" mark — which may not be copied or reused without permission. Featured client projects are shown with permission and remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Manufacturing partners
Where we source or coordinate manufacturing on a client's behalf, we work with third-party manufacturing partners who are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Ross + Doell. We take care in selecting partners but do not guarantee their performance, and any manufacturing agreement's specific terms (cost, timeline, quality standards) will be confirmed in writing before production begins.
5. No warranties; limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ross + Doell is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. This does not affect the specific warranties or obligations, if any, set out in a signed client agreement.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through this site:
Contact form. Your name, your contact details (email or phone), and the content of your message.
Newsletter signup. Your email address, along with the date and time you signed up and, if you confirm your subscription, a record of that confirmation.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through this site, and the site does not use e-commerce, accounts, or payment processing.
2. How we use your information
We use contact form submissions to respond to your inquiry and, if a project moves forward, to communicate about that project.
We use newsletter email addresses only to send you the Ross + Doell newsletter: occasional updates about our work, services, and studio news. We will not add you to the newsletter because you sent an inquiry; you are only subscribed if you sign up yourself. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Consent and unsubscribing
By signing up for the newsletter, you consent to receive it from us. We may ask you to confirm your subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at the address below. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you newsletters.
4. Sharing your information
We do not share your information with third parties except: (a) with manufacturing or other partners directly involved in a project you've asked us to quote or coordinate, (b) with service providers who help us operate this site and our communications, or (c) where required by law.
Our current service providers are FormSubmit, which delivers contact form submissions to our inbox, and MailerLite, which stores our newsletter list and sends our newsletters. They process your information on our behalf and only for these purposes. These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
5. Data retention
We keep inquiry and project information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, deliver a project, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; after you unsubscribe, we may keep a record of the unsubscribe so we don't email you again.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Our newsletter emails may use standard tracking, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, to help us understand what readers find useful. If the site itself starts using cookies or analytics, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and how to opt out.
7. Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that we correct it, or request that we delete it, subject to our legitimate business and legal retention needs. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
Questions about either of these can be directed to info@rossdoell.com.
